Playing its first game at Jadwin Gymnasium since November, the men’s basketball team rolled to one of its easiest wins of the season against The College of New Jersey. The 79-68 victory followed another comfortable win against Florida A&M last week. Princeton (9-7) has won eight of its last 10 games after a poor start and will try to extend its good run into the Ivy League conference matches.

The men’s basketball team took its first loss in four games as Drexel won 64-60 at the Daskalakis Athletic Center on Saturday. The Tigers (4-6) had traveled to Philadelphia optimistic that their recent wins were indicative of improved performance, but a strong Drexel team held on for the win despite not scoring a field goal in the final four minutes and 45 seconds.

The Tigers will look to make it four wins in a row after triumphing in the dying seconds in the annual match against Rutgers on Wednesday. Drexel needs to regroup after a difficult start to the season that has seen four losses in its last five games.

Men's Basketball: Defense falters late as Tigers drop 2 of 3 at tourney

The men’s basketball team dropped its first two games before thoroughly dismantling West Alabama in the TicketCity Legends Classic over Thanksgiving weekend. Princeton (2-5) struggled in its opening games against Bucknell (5-2) and Morehead State (3-4), losing 62-56 and 68-56, respectively. The Tigers recovered on Sunday afternoon to pummel Division-II West Alabama (1-6) by 24 points, but they still face many questions after a rough opening stretch.

The men’s basketball team secured a 61-53 win over visiting Buffalo courtesy of a fabulous first-half performance. Princeton won for the first time this season, also marking the first victory for head coach Mitch Henderson ’98. The win suggests that last season’s success may not be as far-fetched a standard to emulate as the opening losses had indicated.

The Tigers have endured two losses to usher in the reign of Mitch Henderson ’98 as head coach, who replaced Sydney Johnson ’97 on the heels of a highly successful season. Henderson will look to snap the season-opening skid with a win against Buffalo.

The women’s soccer team’s aspirations of winning the Ivy League have ended with two conference games remaining in the season. Harvard won Saturday’s fixture 2-1 in Cambridge, Mass., sending the Tigers on an undoubtedly gloomy bus ride back to Princeton. The hosts scored once in each half before junior striker Jen Hoy grabbed a consolation goal minutes before the final whistle.

Women's Soccer: Unlucky team hopes to convert chances

The women’s soccer team trudges on to Providence, R.I., on Saturday on a quest for its first Ivy League victory, needing an abrupt change in fortunes to have any chance of winning the conference this year. The Tigers (0-2-0 Ivy League, 1-7-1 overall) will look to beat Brown (6-3-1, 1-1-0) on the back of a tough 1-0 loss at Dartmouth, which the Bears defeated in overtime earlier this season.
