The Tigers (13-4 overall, 3-0 Ivy League) dismantled Cornell 64-35 on Friday and followed with a crushing 94-35 rout of Columbia on Sunday afternoon. The decisive wins extended Princeton’s win streak to six games and continued to solidify the Tiger hold on the top spot in the Ivy League.
On Tuesday night, the women’s basketball team allowed small mistakes to be compounded against No. 23 DePaul, falling 78-67 for its second home loss of the season. “It’s a tough loss, but you want to play teams like this,” said junior forward Niveen Rasheed, who finished with 23 points and a career-high 18 rebounds. “We asked for this schedule, and it makes you a better team.”
With only a day’s rest between games, the women’s basketball team went on the road to earn a clear 56-41 win over University of Maryland, Baltimore County. The Tigers (7-1) traveled to Maryland to visit UMBC (3-4) only two days after losing to No. 24 Delaware, which snapped Princeton’s 26-game win streak in Jadwin Gymnasium.
The women’s basketball team hardly rested for its Thanksgiving break, as Princeton added two more wins to its collection, improving to 6-0 this season. On Friday, the Tigers rolled over Davidson for a 53-44 victory, which they followed with a devastating 75-55 win over local rival Rider on Sunday.

Last week, the women’s soccer team finished the season with split games between Ivy League leaders Cornell and Penn. The Tigers hosted Cornell for a 1-0 shutout victory in their final home game of the season. Princeton then traveled to Penn, where they fell to the Quakers 3-1 to cap a tough Ivy League campaign.
Despite strong offensive showings by the women’s soccer team all season, the squad has struggled to close out the games they seemed destined to win. But Princeton was finally able to convert its prowess in the Ivy League when it took and extended an early lead over Columbia on Saturday. The Tigers dominated the visitors 4-1 for their first Ivy League win of the season.
This weekend, the women’s soccer team will search for a third-straight win when it continues Ivy League play against Columbia. The Tigers also have another chance to notch their first Ivy League victory after dropping their first three league matchups.
