Pre-rade welcomes Princeton classes of ’24 and ’25

On Sunday, Aug. 29, Princeton officially welcomed the Classes of 2024 and 2025 to campus with the tradition of Opening Exercises and the Pre-rade. Opening Exercises are held annually in the University Chapel, featuring an address by University President Christopher Eisgruber ’83 and interfaith blessings. Immediately following, the Pre-rade welcomes first-year students in through FitzRandolph Gate, a tradition dating back to 2004.

Princeton on Zoom: The Theatrical Life of Paige Allen ’21

Life at Princeton has changed significantly due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the switch to remote learning. The Daily Princetonian explores how students' lives have changed in the last seven months, from living environments to studying to extracurricular activities to preserving their mental health. In this episode, we learn more from Paige Allen '21, a senior in the English department earning certificates in Creative Writing, Humanistic Studies, Theater, and Music Theater, who is living in suburban Princeton in a house with five friends. She is also producing her thesis, a theater performance, in her own backyard with the helps of her housemates.
