The Garden State Rivalry: No. 23 women’s lacrosse wins their home opener against No. 22 Rutgers

In a meeting of New Jersey rivals, No. 23 Princeton women’s lacrosse beat out No. 22 Rutgers 13–10 in the season home opener. Led by attackers Jami MacDonald and McKenzie Blake, who scored three goals each, the Tigers saw out Rutgers in fairly comfortable fashion.

Xaivian Lee’s 27 points paced the Tigers in the win over the Crimson, while Caden Pierce’s 22 points led the way against Dartmouth. The Tigers now go on to face Columbia on Friday and Cornell on Saturday.

Now, the Tigers head into another week of practice before their toughest regular-season matchup remaining against the Columbia Lions (18—5, 9—1). The game will tip off at 2 p.m. Saturday on ESPN+ from Levien Gym.
