Those identified as close contacts for a COVID-19 positive individual will still be required to wear masks, and any individual who has received a vaccine exemption or has not yet received a booster dose but is eligible to do so will be required to continue to test weekly.

After three hours of debate and public comments, the Council unanimously voted for the creation of a Special Improvement District (SID) in Princeton. A SID is a self-governed and managed nonprofit organization that is a coalition of businesses and property owners in town with the purpose of helping those businesses.

In Sunday’s USG meeting, the Senate convened for a budget update and spring elections overview, and to approve student organization events and a Viewpoint Diversity Task Force. Twelve USG members voted in favor of creating the new Task Force, while four abstained and four opposed.

On Feb. 28, campus saw the highest single-day positive cases of the pandemic, with the campus-wide COVID-19 positivity rate rising to 2.59 percent during the week ending on Feb. 25, a slight increase from the 2.32 percent reported the week prior.

While the total cost of attending college has increased across the Ivy League, financial aid packages have grown even more quickly. In 2020, 66 percent of Princeton undergraduates applied for financial aid, and the University’s average aid grant covered 86 percent of total costs.
