USG potential referenda include change to P/D/F policy, standing Sustainability Committee

Two Undergraduate Student Government (USG) referenda have been announced, one regarding a change to the current P/D/F (pass/D/fail) policy, and another calling for the implementation of a standing Sustainability Committee. Students will be able to vote for them from Dec. 9 to 11 before they can be presented to the appropriate administrations.

Average daily wind speeds have picked up in the last decade after over 30 years of gradual decline, according to research led by a team at the University’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The study, published in “Nature Climate Change” on Nov. 18, could implicate a dramatic surge in the efficiency of wind power in the coming years.
