With victory over Dartmouth, Tigers claim 11th Ivy League championship title

The Princeton Tigers (8-2, 6-1 Ivy League) overcame Dartmouth (4-6, 1-6 Ivy League) this Saturday to clinch a share of their first Ivy League title since 2013. Dartmouth jumped ahead first, scoring a touchdown on their initial possession of the game, but the Tigers evened the score late in the first quarter with a one-yard run by junior quarterback John Lovett.

Tigers fall to Crimson in heartbreaking overtime loss

Princeton had more yards and won the turnover battle, but Harvard took the day in a heartbreaking 23-20 overtime victory over the Tigers to stay atop the Ivy League. Both teams entered the day unbeaten and with high expectations: the Tigers (4-2, 2-1 Ivy) were seeking to break the tie for first place in-conference by beating Harvard (5-1, 3-0 Ivy) for the first time since 2013. Once the game began, however, it seemed to be all Harvard.

Princeton cruise past Brown at Home

Junior quarterback John Lovett passed for two touchdowns and rushed for a third as the Princeton Tigers (4-1, 2-0 Ivy) cruised to an easy victory over Brown (1-4, 0-2 Ivy). Princeton kicked off the scoring early, with senior quarterback Chad Kanoff uncorking a 33-yard bomb to senior wide receiver Isaiah Barnes for the first score.

Tigers open up Ivy League season with win over Columbia

Senior quarterback Chad Kanoff threw for 230 yards, junior quarterback John Lovett and senior running back Joe Rhattigan rushed for almost fifty yards apiece, and the Princeton Tigers (2-1, 1-0 Ivy) opened their Ivy League season in emphatic style by dismantling the Columbia Lions (0-3, 0-1 Ivy), 48-13. Despite the final score, Columbia struck first to open the game.

Tigers fall to Lehigh in tough away game

Despite a tough battle, the Princeton Tigers (1-1, 0-0 Ivy) dropped their second game of the season to Lehigh (2-2, 1-1 Home), 42-28.The Tigers kept it close throughout the first half, but a tremendous third quarter by the Mountain Hawks allowed them to build a 21-point advantage and stave off a Princeton comeback in the fourth to hang on to their victory.Lehigh struck first, as vaunted quarterback Nick Shafnisky led the Hawks down the field and hit Derek Knott with a touchdown pass less than five minutes into the game.

Football excited for successful season under talented core

After a 2015 campaign that saw the Tigers start 4-0 before dropping close games late to Yale and Dartmouth, Princeton football will look to further their successes this season.The Tigers (1-0, 0-0 Ivy) have already gotten off to a strong start, vanquishing touch out-of-conference foe Lafayette 35-31 while displaying a potent combination of offense and defense.

Football caps season with loss to Dartmouth

The Princeton football team, after a rollercoaster trip through Ivy League play this season, had their final game of 2015 this past Saturday, in which they lost 10-17 to the Dartmouth Big Green in Hanover, N.H.The Tigers, (5-5 overall, 2-5 Ivy League) entered Saturday afternoon hoping to play the role of spoilers, knowing that Dartmouth (9-1, 6-1) had been one of the league’s strongest teams so far, and was currently gunning for a guaranteed share of the Ivy League title.
