Outside the building, 25-30 postdocs protested in support of open bargaining, but received warnings from the Free Expression Facilitators.

Princeton Municipal Court will hold another pre-trial conference on Dec. 10 to set a trial date for the Clio Hall protesters. During a hearing today, defense attorney Aymen Aboushi requested a re-evaluation of a plea deal that would have allowed six of the protesters to plead guilty to a municipal noise ordinance, but the request was definitively rejected.

The Princeton University Board of Trustees has rejected the removal of John Witherspoon’s statue from campus, according to a letter released on Wednesday. Community members petitioned for the statue's removal in 2022 based on Witherspoon's legacy as a slave owner. The Trustees left the door open for future consideration of the statue's presence on campus to the Campus Art Steering Committee.
