Grammy-nominated rapper A Boogie Wit da Hoodie will headline Spring 2025 Lawnparties on Sunday, April 27, with student performance group “Oh S*** Look Out” opening the main stage.

The announcement was made via post to the Undergraduate Student Government’s (USG) Instagram account on Friday, April 11. Earlier this semester, USG Social Chair Aum Dhruv ’27 announced during a USG Senate meeting that the headliner would be revealed on April 9, two days ago.

“Our selection committee has members from diverse groups in every class, and this committee helped choose the headliner after considering factors like genre relevance, student preferences, and overall campus appeal,” Dhruv wrote in a statement to The Daily Princetonian. “We’re looking forward to having everyone Pop Out At The Party.”

This Spring’s theme, “Pop Out at the Party,” draws inspiration from pop art and aims to elevate the atmosphere beyond just a musical performance.

This will be A Boogie Wit da Hoodie’s second time headlining Lawnparties — he previously performed as the headliner at the Spring 2019 Lawnparties.

The main festivities will take place on Frist North Lawn, beginning with Oh S*** Look Out at 2 p.m. and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie later in the afternoon.

Oh S*** Look Out is a student group made up of Tait Oberg ’27, Mason Hooks ’25, Ashley Abramson ’25, Leah Shefferman ’27, and Samara Samad ’25. Last semester, Oh S*** Look Out were originally scheduled to be the student opener for Lawnparties, although they did not end up performing.

“USG Social Committee is encouraging students to show up in vibrant colors and interact with experiences throughout the day,” Dhruv wrote.

Campus Club will again host inflatable games and lawn activities, along with free Taco Bell and a lineup of street food vendors, including Nomad Pizza and Maddalena’s CheeseCake.

Known for hit tracks like “Drowning,” “Look Back at It,” and “Jungle,” A Boogie Wit da Hoodie rose to prominence in the late 2010s with music that blended rap, R&B, and pop. His most recent album, Me vs. Myself (2022), debuted in the top 10 on the Billboard 200, and he has continued touring through college campuses and major festivals nationwide since.

This year’s Lawnparties comes amid increased attention to safety and event logistics.

“A major focus this semester has been on safety,” Dhruv said. “We’re actively collaborating with PSafe and ODUS to reduce crowding, and we’ve increased our budget for water stations to ensure adequate supplies throughout the day.”

“Our goal is to provide a fun, safe, and unforgettable experience,” Dhruv added.
