Senior captain and quarterback Kevin Davidson has signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent, NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero reported Saturday night.
Last season for the Tigers, Davidson started all 10 games, completed 209 of 313 passes for 2,569 yards and 20 touchdowns, and set the Ivy League record for touchdown passes in a game with seven against Bucknell. He ranks second all-time at Princeton in lowest career interception percentage and yards per attempt.
Davidson will compete with quarterback Garrett Gilbert this summer for a roster spot. If successful, he’ll join tight end Stephen Carlson ’19 in Cleveland.
"I can't wait to get the playbook and get to work with my new teammates," Davidson told GoPrincetonTigers. "It's a great situation, especially with the new coaching staff, and I'm excited to make the most out of the opportunity."
This is a developing story. It will be updated as more information becomes available.
