To the Editor:
The people in theanti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign are an interesting crowd. They say that not only are there many Jews among their numbers but also that they are not anti-Semitic, only anti-Israel or anti-Israeli policy.
However, history is filled with examples of self-hating Jews who are not only anti-Semitic but who have also worked against the interest of their own people. More to the point, however, is the false claim about the BDS campaign’s motivation. If these individuals were truly targeting what they claim are Israel’s abhorrent policies and not the Jewish state itself, then why do they not take their stand against the true offenders against civil rights and humanity, such as North Korea, China and Islamic fundamentalist states?
