The Princeton Police Department will host its first Coffee with a Cop event on Oct. 11 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The event will be held at Panera Bread, located at 136 Nassau St.
Coffee with a Cop is a national initiative that seeks to foster a better relationship between the police force and the communities that it serves.
The event on Saturday will allow officers and citizens of Princeton to interact in an informal setting. Participants will be given a free cup of coffee and the opportunity to ask questions and speak with the officers.
In April 2013, a similar event was held in Edison, N.J., and in May a Coffee with a Cop Event took place in Fair Lawn, N.J.
