A major storm dubbed “Nemo” caused serious damage throughout the Northeast on Thursday, Friday and Saturday but left the University community relatively unscathed.
Snowfall reached as high as three feet in some states and resulted in a total of 14 deaths throughout the Northeast region, the Associated Press reported.
About four to six inches of snow fell on the University campus, University Spokesperson Martin Mbugua said. He added that the University community did not experience any outages, injuries or disruptions in service related to the storm.
University employees began working after the snowfall to shovel snow and keep the campus safe, Mbugua said. He added that because central New Jersey was much less hard-hit by Nemo than other parts of the Northeast, University employees also did not experience significant transportation problems.
