The Princeton Review has ranked Princeton the fourth best value private college behind Swarthmore, Harvard and Williams in its 2013 list of 150 Best Value Colleges.
The education services company, which is based in Princeton, N.J., but not affiliated with the University, evaluated each school based on data collected from the 2011-12 school year based on academics, cost and financial aid. The 150 schools on the list — 75 private and 75 public — were drawn from a pool of 650 institutions.
While Princeton tuition for the 2011-12 school year cost $51,280 with room and board, the average debt upon graduation from the University was $5,330, with 24 percent receiving financial aid.
The best value public college list is topped by the University of Virginia.
