Though the new town will take a borough form of government, Princeton Township Attorney Ed Schmierer said the official name of the town did not need to have the word “borough.” He added that the name of the town should instead agree with what constituents voted for last November when they approved consolidation, according to Planet Princeton.
Despite the merger, the Borough and Township also voted Monday night to not spend $26,000 to repaint the different police vehicles with the same design.
