The men’s soccer team lost a midweek game 1-0 at Adelphi on Tuesday afternoon. The Panthers scored in the 56th minute and held Princeton scoreless to earn only their second win of the season.
The Tigers (5-5-2 overall, 1-0-2 Ivy League) peppered the hosts’ goal with 17 shots, but only three of them were on target, and Adelphi goalie Ahmad Salamah stopped all three. The Panthers (2-11) broke a scoreless tie when Jordan Hibbert headed in a cross for the game’s only goal.
Senior goalkeeper Max Gallin made one save in his first action since Sept. 8, playing in place of junior Seth MacMillan. Sophomore forward Cameron Porter took two of the Tigers’ three shots on goal.
After winning four straight games at the end of September, Princeton has gone winless in its past four contests, with two ties and two defeats. The Tigers will try to break that slide on Saturday, when they host Harvard at 4 p.m.
