Streich moved from Princeton to the Wisconsin farm following the attacks on Sept. 11. He was homeschooled since the seventh grade.
Streich was considered by many to be a scientific genius, as he won the third place in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair prior to enrolling in college.
Streich was an active entrepreneur before and during his time at Harvard. As a teenager, Streich started a nanotechnology firm and was the chief executive of a solar energy company called Streich Solar Industries, according to The Harvard Crimson.
A memorial service in honor of Streich will be held in Princeton.
