Update: Third Eye Blind will headline the fall concert, USG president Bruce Easop '13 announced on Saturday.
Update: The band Matt & Kim is not performing in a Lawnparties act, their agent, Sam Hunt, confirmed to The Daily Princetonian. AB & The Sea confirmed they will be performing in a Lawnparties act.
The USG uploaded then quickly removed a developmental website previewing the upcoming semester’s Lawnparties, which included a playlist of songs from Third Eye Blind and other bands, including Twenty One Pilots, Matt & Kim and A B & The Sea.
The playlist posted on the developmental page was created by Linda Zhong ’15, the head webmaster of the USG, and was originally titled “lawnparties-f2012.” After mentions of the playlist began to appear on social media on Thursday afternoon, the site was removed and the playlist name changed to “theofficiallawnparties.” The playlist also included Eric Hutchinson, who is performing at Charter Club’s Lawnparties event. The playlist advertising last Spring’s Lawnparties lineup was created from the same account.
The site was posted on Monday and hosted at a dev.princetonusg.com address, a backchannel part of the website that was only accessible through search engines.
USG president Bruce Easop '13 and USG social chair Benedict Wagstaff '14 did not return repeated requests for comment. An agent for Third Eye Blind declined to confirm if the band would perform at the University at Lawnparties, scheduled for Sept. 16.
