A man whose wallet and iPhone were allegedly stolen from Wawa used the phone's tracking software to find the device, leading police to a nearby car filled with marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to the Borough Police.
Just before 2 a.m. on May 8, police responded to Wawa after a patron left an iPhone and wallet on the register counter. Using video surveillance, police determined that a woman, Robyn Skeete, 20, of Cranbury, had allegedly taken the items.
Tracking software led police officers to a car near the University Medical Center at Princeton, where they found Skeete and a local man, 22-year-old Zachary Gordon, police said. Gordon allegedly was found in possession of marijuana, 56 glassine bags "used for packaging and distributing marijuana" and a digital scale, which police believe is used to weigh the drug. The wallet and iPhone were also recovered.
Skeete faces charges of theft, credit card theft and possession of false government documents. Gordon faces charges of posession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute and possession with intent to distribute in a school zone.
Skeete was released on her own recognizance, but Gordon did not post $50,000 bail and was taken to the Mercer County Detention Center.
Both are due in Borough court on Monday.
