The Institute sought approval for the project at Board meetings on Dec. 1, Dec. 8 and Jan. 26.
At the Jan. 26 meeting, Russell Smith, vice president at Hopewell Valley Engineering, testified that the Institute’s engineers had misinterpreted Princeton ordinances, planning for 15 housing units on a parcel he says can only legally hold six. Previous meetings discussed the historical and environmental signficance of the Insitute’s site.
