A: [Freshman designated hitter] Ryan Albert, because of that thing growing from the top of his head.

A: [Sophomore shortstop] Matty Bowman: God. [Freshman first baseman] Mike Ford: Jesus. The rest of us call ourselves the apostles. But we are all Witnesses.
Q: What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done for baseball?
A: Play in the Northeast.
Q: What is the greatest highlight of your sports career?
A: Definitely [senior left-handed pitcher] David Palms’ striking out the last batter on a 3-2 pitch about eight inches low and inside with two outs, bases loaded, bottom of the ninth in front of 6,000 fans at Louisiana State University.

A: Intrasquad scrimmages in the Jadwin “Pit,” [the baseball team’s indoor facility in the basement of Jadwin Gymnasium].

A: Paparazzi around campus.
Q: If you were your coach for a day, what would you do?
A: That’s an easy one: First I’d make Matty Bow my assistant. He’d know what to do.
