Q: What was your “welcome to college” moment?
A: When Andy Peterson pulled me up on a table at Cloister [Inn] and made me sing the Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way” for at least five minutes straight.
Q: What is the greatest highlight of your sports career?
A: Individually, it was winning the Hawaii state championship during my senior year of high school, but team-wise it was definitely winning the Ivy League championships and having an undefeated season last year. All these accomplishments will be eclipsed, though, if we defeat nationally-ranked Navy this Saturday, since we’re undefeated all-time at home at DeNunzio Pool.
Q: What is the best part about being an athlete on campus?
A: Definitely all the girls who are after your hot swimming body to breed hot swimming water babies.
Q: What is the worst part about being an athlete on campus?
A: You don’t get to be “on tap” all the time.
Q: What is your least favorite thing about swimming?
A: When I wake up at 5:45 a.m. in the morning to get a ride down to the pool and my captain Geoff Faux leaves without me. I have to walk all the way to the pool from Rocky.
Q: If you were your coach for a day, what would you do?
A: I would definitely have the divers try to do the swimming practice and the swimmers do the diving practices. It would be really entertaining to see some of my teammates jump off of the 10-meter board.

Q: Does the team have any odd rituals?
A: Every year the freshmen have to get crazy haircuts before our taper-meet, which is our big meet of the season, and the haircuts are usually in the shape of male genitalia or of old men. I’m personally really excited for Paul Nolle’s haircut this season.
Q: What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not practicing?
A: Sleeping. Enough said.
Q: What music inspires you?
A: Nothing beats Bob Marley!
Q: If you weren’t a swimmer, what would be your sport?
A: I would definitely be a volleyball player. I find it an entertaining and fun sport, and I have a crush on all the volleyball girls.
