With the release of yesterday's Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national rankings, the women's tennis team has once again proven itself to be the cream of the Ivy League crop. In the new poll, the Tigers (5-0) are ranked 46th in the country — six spots ahead of Ivy rival Harvard.
Leading the charge for Princeton is freshman phenom Kavitha Krisnamurthy — the ITA eastern regional champion this past fall. Amassing a 26-2 record so far this season, Krishnamurthy has risen to become the No. 13 singles player in the nation. The Tigers' doubles team of senior Amanda Hastings-Phillips and junior Gailor Large also earned a No. 38 ranking in the recent poll.
