RDGLDGRN

Charter Club

RDGLDGRN (pronounced “red-gold-green”) broke out on the rock scene in fall 2011 with its hit single “I Love Lamp.” Hailing from Reston, Virginia, the band’s sound combines an indie pop style with Washington, D.C. go-go — a subgenre of funk characterized by island rhythms most associated with Chuck Brown. In other words, RDGLDGRN evokes a fusion of 311 and The Neighbourhood. Red, Green, Gold refers to the band members’ stage names. They have collaborated with Dave Grohl (who drummed on their debut album) and Pharrell Williams, who cowrote the chill summer anthem “Doing the Most.”
