A University student reported a lewdness incident at about11:45 a.m.Fridayon the towpath between Washington Road and South Harrison Street, an email announcement by the Department of Public Safety said.
According to the email, a female University student saw a man expose himself to her while she was on the towpath. She described him as a white male in his forties, about six feet tall and average build, wearing a beige-colored, dirty surgical mask, grey sunglasses, a navy blue shirt and no pants.
The suspect was last observed on the towpath heading north in the direction of Plainsboro. The DPS and the Princeton Police Department searched the area but could not locate the suspect, the email said.
University spokesperson Martin Mbugua said that the investigation is being handled by the PPD, with the assistance of the DPS.
The lewdness incident follows twofondlingincidents that occurred in September. Mbugua said that the DPS will continue to work closely with members of the University community, the PPD and other law enforcement agencies to anticipate and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
